On What Inspires Me

Hi all. Meg here. I wanted to blog about what is currently making my wheels turn (no not in a sexy way you pervvy kitties) I am constantly being inspired by bloggers, art, music, and my friends. When it comes to what I shop for Daisy Chain Gang Vintage I draw from these inspirations....and some of them are just funny or make me smile.

Hello beauties.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Friday afternoon!! We sure are! We have some extra lovely goodies to add to our fall collection this Sunday. I cannot believe some of the pieces we found on our last shop. We must admit, it is slightly difficult to part with some of these gems... especially this Western Chic cut out, fringe top.

I seriously want to travel down route 66 (preferably in a 66 Camero), cowboy boots dangling out the window, with some CCR blasting while wearing this top. It perfectly embodies this All American,70s chic girl we are seeing all over our favourtie look-books this season. This item, along with a few new items will be up on the shop THIS sunday!!

What are you doing for Halloween?? Our friends take Halloween VERY seriously. I mean, this is a holiday that ALL of us go all out for and typically our friend's Mikey and Carly will host a wonderful, fucking crazy drunk fest party. And they are doing it again this year!!!

it's all happening....

I watched Almost Famous a few weeks before Jess and I decided to partner together to create Daisy Chain Gang Vintage... and the words of Miss Penny Lane echoed through my head " it's all happening...". Her image, dressed in a fur collared coat, dancing through the night haunted me...inspired me. Oh how I have longed to care about something as much Miss Penny Lane did in that moment. That moment in which nothing else mattered.

For us here at Daisy Chain Gang Vintage, we want to give that moment to you, our costumers with our clothes. Vintage clothing is about invoking a feeling, a time, a moment loved in the past. For some its about becoming a character and for others its simply an expression of one's self. No matter what it is to you, Vintage shopping is a special kind of experience unlike anything else and Jess and myself couldn't be more thrilled to share our hand picked items with you!
